Phil was born on May 29, 1942 in Porum, Oklahoma to Lloyd and Jessie Lucille Holt. He enlisted in the United States Navy in 1959 and spent 10 years serving his country. He married his wife Rebecca (Becky) Jean McKenna on July 3, 1962 in Hawaii. In 1969 the couple relocated to Phoenix, Arizona. Philip worked for Union Iron Workers at Local 75 and retired after approximately 40 years. Philip and Becky enjoyed many years at their summer home in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho. Phil was a great Pop Warner football coach and Arizona Girls Softball coach. He loved spending time with family, traveling to the South Bay Area in California, vodka tonics, Budweiser and watching football and baseball.
Phil is survived by his beloved wife Rebecca Jean Holt, son Phillip Lloyd; daughters Lori Jean, Carol Ann (Curtis) Nations. Grandchildren Cody Joseph, Courtney Jean, Marley Marie (Billy), Ella Rose, great grandchild McKenna Dawn, cousin Joan Alexander (Howard) who is truly more like a sister; several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
Phil was a hard working, loyal and loving Husband, Dad, Pops, Great Pots, Uncle and friend. He will always be in our thoughts and hearts.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 10:00am with funeral services to follow at 11:00am at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary 7924 N. 59th Ave, Glendale Arizona. A burial will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, Arizona.
