My condolences to the family. I’ve been out of the loop for quite some time. I knew the brother Falcons and sister Falcons and their son JR Vaughn. I’ve lost contact with everybody but I remember brother Falcons very well. He was a well mannered man of God he walked exactly what he preached. He gave me lots of great advice and instruction for that I’ll ever be grateful. Everyone knew me by the name, Milton Brooks, but I legally changed my name after a very bad divorce to Christian Valdez. My thoughts and prayers are with the family even though this is quite a bit late in time I just found out so my condolences my thoughts and prayers

To all the Felkins Family-I can never express my sorrow I feel for you.  I know Leon will  be greatly missed.  Leon is enjoying the Heaven, He preached about for years. God looked down and seen what heartache, sorrow, disapointment  and sickness's He had encountered,  Jesus said, I know you are tired, Just come up here and we will rejoice together,  I will bring your loved ones here to see you again. And there will be a great Celebration.  Dear Family, I felt honored, just to help care for one of Gods choicest servants.Thanks Leon for the example you lived, The people you led to the Lord.Thanks for being my friend, and I will always Love you.

Grandpa you will surely be missed we all love an miss you so. My Dad Leon Felkins was the best Dad ever He taught me many things he taught me to treat people the way I would wanna be treated and I have always tried my best. However he also taught me that there are just some people out there that know matter what there not happy so he would say just pray for them I cant tell you how many times  I seen him and my Mom pray for people and they were healed.driving down the rd and someones name would come to his mind he would call or we would go and sure enough thanks to my dad and his prayers the person was saved sitting in a parking lot at a church sitting in line in Tesas waiting on the newspapers god told him what to do cause a man was going to harm himself and thanks to  my Dad and God that man is still  alive...My Dad is a awesome man i love you dad and i miss you dad and I'm sitting here rite now trying to figure out what to do with my life how do I live without you .I have followed you and Mom around my whole life and I'm lost Dad without you I love you

Dear Felkins Family

I am so sorry to read your devastating news Deborah. I never met your Dad, but know how wonderful and supportive he was to you over the years and can only start to imagine what you are feeling now.

You will gradually find comfort in all the happy memories you and your family have of him. 

Your dad lived to see you and your family find happiness and security and love. He will have died content for knowing that. AND best of all he is no longer suffering.

Make sure you find time to grieve and allow yourself to do so - and don't expect it to pass quickly. Losing a parent takes time to process for us mortals. Do you remember I was in the aftermath of losing my dad when we first became close? I didn't fully recover from that for at least two years - and made some very strange decisions and acted out of character for much of that time.

I wish I could be with you to try to help somehow. I'm giving you a big hug now from halfway across the globe.

As all of you know, my father was a devoted son, father, husband, grandfather and brother to my family. We are blessed to have had his love and presence in our lives for so many years.

Losing my father has been a very painful experience for everyone in my family. Your loving support has been a great help.

I just heard about your dad. I am so sorry and wanted to offer my condolences. I can only imagine how difficult this must be for you, coming not to long after the loss of your mother.

I find that I am at a loss for words but with this news I am reminded of when my grandfather passed away. I was at a loss for words then too, but I wanted to share my sadness and express the loss I was feeling. I didn't think anyone would understand my feelings so I painted and wrote a journal. It sure helped me cope; perhaps you might want to try it.

Although I didn't know your dad, I know you had a close relationship with him and that you were always giggling about something your dad said or did. I distinctly remember a time when I came over to your house and you were talking to him. He was telling you something that was so funny, your face was red and your eyes were filled with tears from laughing so hard. It made me start to laugh too and to this day I still laugh even though I don't know what he was telling you!

I am sorry I won't be able to make it to the funeral to convey my condolences in person. Until then, please accept my sincere condolences.

I knew Leon when he worked for Union Rock & Material. My husband was one of his truck drivers and I worked in the office with Boots. I was always amazed at how much Leon knew about everything. It was like he was a walking dictionary. To Deborah & the Felkins Family Leon was a great man and he will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

I can say proudly, he was a wonderful father.  He was always kind and willing to help someone out.  He had a full life and I am so proud of him, as his accomplishments were great. I have many memories of days spent at your father's house in the pool having and bar-b-ques. He had an wonderful sense of humor and was one of the most generous and caring men I've known. In short, your father Glendon was an exceptional man who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

My dear Deborah, 

There simply are no words to express the sorrow we felt when Alice telephoned us with the awful news of the death of your precious father this week, and we can only imagine how devastating this must be for you and the rest of your family. Of course your life is forever changed as a result of your father's death ~ because there is nothing, nothing, nothing as painful as losing a father or mother. After all, 

I'm sure you already know that the bond you have with father will be with you always, Deborah, just as long as you keep his memory and the love you share with him alive in your heart. You will always be Glendon's daughter, and Glendon will always be your beloved father. Death may have ended his life, but it certainly does not end the relationship you have with him. Although he is no longer physically present, it doesn't mean you cannot continue to love him in his absence. I hope the precious memories you have of your precious father will one day bring you comfort.

I still remember the time when your father took you, Leon JR, Jerry and myself on that camping and fishing trip. It was one of the most memorable days of my life. Those are the kind of things that he will be remembered for - making people smile and bringing laughter in their lives. And while it's going to be very difficult to think of this world without him, it is a happy thought knowing that wherever he is, he is only spreading happiness.

Leon, Beloved Brother, Father, Grandfather, and Friend will be missed by all. This is a very hard time for family and friends of Leon. As my Mom once wrote:

I don't remember exactly how old I was, I think 9, Uncle Leon took me for a ride on the back of his motorcycle.  It's one of my fondest memories of him.
