Ricardo Manguiat Perez
February 5, 1929 – February 2, 2021
Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother in Christ, Ricardo Manguiat Perez, has joined our Creator on February 2, 2021. He was born on February 5, 1929 and would have turned 92 years old on his birthday. Ricardo was born in Batangas, Philippines to Meliton Perez and Josefa Manguiat. He is the youngest child in the family of nine siblings. He will be pleasantly remembered as a kind, helpful, prayerful, persistent, joyful and most of all a welcoming person to everyone around him. He was a member of Couples for Christ Community where he was a mighty prayer warrior to anyone asking for intercessory prayers. Throughout his life journey, Ricardo has been faithful to God and continues to enrich the lives of his family and those who have been privileged to have known him.
Ricardo is married to his beautiful and loving wife, Elena, and together have six children, fourteen grandchildren and a great grandson. As a spouse, he has been generous, loving and faithful. He loved his children and has been a consistent compass for the family providing guidance, support and wisdom. He was an educator all his life and never tire of learning something new in every occasion presented. He considered his family and friends as his treasures here on earth. He is a retired teacher who loves wild, wild west TV shows and movies, and kept informed of current news and affairs. Ricardo loves art, music and carpentry. He is a is a voracious reader, having read the Bible many times and a collection of history and biographical books on US presidents. But Ricardo is most happy when surrounded by family and friends, enjoying Filipino food and sharing stories of old.
