

Richard K. Miller, 75 of Sun City, passed away on January 2, 2023 in Sun City, Arizona. Born on February 18,1947 to the late Robert W. Miller and Martha (Obermueller) Miller in Denver, Colorado. They moved to Arizona in 1949 and settled in Glendale shortly thereafter. He graduated from Glendale High School in 1965. Richard worked most of his life as a mechanic, working on heavy machinery for Del Webb Corporation for more than 20 years. He married Laurie (Laurel) McCutcheon on October 21, 1978 at Grace Lutheran Church in Glendale.
Richard was a lifelong Denver Broncos fan. He enjoyed working on old cars (especially Camaros) and racing in his younger years. The whole neighborhood knew when he was working on his car each time he’d fire up that engine. A family man through and through, he was a very devoted husband, loving father to three daughters and the best “Papa” to four grandchildren.
Richard is survived by his loving spouse of 44 years, Laurie, Daughters; Sarah Howard (Lonnie) , Katherine Guy (Patrick), Emily, Grandchildren; Avery, Evan, Logan, Lorelei, Sister; Caroline and many other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Robert, his mother Martha and his brother Robert Jr.
A service will be held on January 28th, 2023 at 11:00am at Grace Lutheran Church, 5600 W. Palmaire Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85301 with a luncheon to follow.
