He moved with his family to Arizona in the mid 1950s. He married Bonnie George on August 12,1964 and was father to Jeff and Jenny. He was preceded in death by his son Jimmy on November 28,1974. He is survived by granddaughter Becca, grandsons Jimmy, Jacob, Nate Jr., Ben and Jack along with great grandchildren James and Ellie Grace. He is also survived by his sister Alice.
He became an iron worker in the early 1960s and worked at George's Steel. He started B&B Steel Erectors in the 1980s. This business expanded under his honest leadership until 1997 when Bob and his wife resettled in Forest Lakes, AZ where he established Hunter's Crane service.
Bob was ordained as a Deacon at North Phoenix Baptist Church in May 1995 and served in the pre-school ministry where children lovingly referred to him as teacher Bob. In ministry to these children, Bob's heart was healed from the loss of his own son and he was waiting for the call from Jesus and Jimmy to come on home.
A visitation for Robert will be held Tuesday, December 21, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale, Arizona. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at 9:00 AM at West Resthaven Funeral Home.
Robert will be laid to rest in Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale, Arizona.
