Robert Barry Stanaback

Robert Barry Stanaback, age 85, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024. He was born in Oxford, Michigan to Kenneth Perry Stanaback and Caroline Wells on October 22, 1939. Barry was one of five siblings.

Barry spent his early life living in Michigan before joining the Navy at just 17 years old. In 1971 Barry met the love of his life Diana Mae Miller. Their love was a whirlwind and they married just one year later in 1972 in Phoenix, AZ at the Justice of the Peace's Office. Their marriage resulted in the blending of two families with Diana's two children and Barry's one son.

Metal fabrication was Barry's life passion. He took pride in his work creating beautiful pieces of art, machine parts, and industrial materials out of simple pieces of metal. When he wasn't working he also found joy in gardening with his wife and family by his side.

Barry is survived by his wife of 52 years Diana Mae Stanaback. His two children Barry Alan Stanaback and Al Beck, his sister Abbey Wilde, and his great-granddaughter and caretaker Ashlyn Harsted. He is also survived by four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his two sisters Lynn and Barbara, his brother David and his daughter Cindy.
