As a young child, Robin loved to read and write. She was educated in the St. Louis Public Schools System and graduated from Northwest High School in 1979. After high school, she was a dedicated participant in the Upward Bound Program at St. Louis University. Afterwards, she devoted 32 years of her life to the field of education. She began her career as a school secretary in 1987 and officially retired as a Human Resources Payroll Specialist of Jennings School District on June 30, 2019.
Robin gave birth to her only child Wendell Deskins, Jr. on December 16, 1990. She was a dedicated and deeply involved parent. Those who knew her knew Robin was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt & friend to many.
Robin leaves behind to continue her legacy her son, Wendell Deskins, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Rhyen Richee; four grandchildren, Justice Robin Richee (her namesake), King Lawrence Richee, Destiny Rae Richee & Lyric Rhyen Richee. Also left to carry her light is her mother, Aline Richee; her siblings, Carl E. Richee, Jr., Aline G. Richee, Larry M. Richee, Kenneth M. Richee, Melanie E. Livingston & Noel E. Richee, and brother-in-law, Adrian E. Livingston. Robin will also be lovingly remembered by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death and met at Heaven’s Gate by her father Carl E. Richee and her sister Madonna Y. Reeder.
One of Robin’s favorite quotes was “No matter what anybody else does, I’m going to do what I’m supposed to so when it’s all said and done I know I’ve done my part”.
