Pastor Rodg walked the talk. Along with his terrific wife Marijane. He was not only the a Pastor at Faith in New Brighton but a friend and mentor. He came in the middle of the night when I was struggling with a breast tumor and prayed with Doug and I. He remembered all the children’s names and took time to genuinely find out how they were doing. Marijane shared him and his time selflessly and that was huge in our lives. One thing I remember he told us ‘even his disciples doubted him from time to time , however when their eyes, heart and minds were focused on Jesus and believed, they could do ALL things’. Pastor Rodg lived that way. Always spoke snd lived the truth. God has said well done good and faithful servant to him! Till we meet again

Uncle Rodge was one of the most positive upbeat men I know. He always was interested in others and had an inspiring word for every situation. He was kind, selfless, and a great example of what a Christian should be in the world. His last days had some pain so I think of him in heaven now with that wide smile and living in complete joy with many he loved including Jesus and it warms my heart. Love and hugs to the family in Arizona and Michigan who will miss him dearly. So thankful you can look forward to seeing him again one day.

My grandpa would always joke with us at the table. When I was a little girl he would help me read devotions right after dinner and we prayed together. He made sure I knew the lord and he would even sing gospel songs with us in the car on road trips. I miss him dearly.

My grandpa was always filled with joy. He had the best hugs. He also loved to sing and dance with his grand children and great grandchildren whenever he had the chance. He was the best!

My father was my inspiration when growing up to walk without a back brace and special shoes. He exercised with me every morning and encouraged me to follow my dreams. He told me as long as you believe in God you can do anything
