Ronda Dettmar

Ronda graduated from University High School. She later attended Arizona State University and received a Bachelor of Arts and Master’s degrees in Special Education. Ronda married Brent Dettmar in the Salt Lake Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. They were married for 45 years. She was a wonderful and caring mother and grandmother to 5 children and 13 grandchildren. Ronda also worked as a special education teacher in the Peoria Unified School District and the Glendale Union High School District. She was a lifelong member of The Church of the Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She quietly served and touched the lives of many people. She had a passion for reading, crafts, sewing, painting, and serving others.

She is survived by her husband Brent, sons Robert (Laura) Dettmar, Jason (Emily) Dettmar, Nathan (Blanca) Dettmar; daughters Brenda (Kelly) Thrasher; Mindy Tryon; Grandchildren Thomas Dettmar, Amy Dettmar, Benjamin Dettmar, Tyler Dettmar, Analisa Dettmar, David Dettmar, Katelyn Dettmar, Carter Dettmar, Brandon Thrasher, Julianne Thrasher, Rebecca Thrasher, William Thrasher, Myla Tryon; siblings Brad Wilkinson, Laurie (Randall) Greene and Brian Wilkinson.

A Visitation will be held on Monday, April 18, 2022 from 6pm-8pm at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary 7924 N. 59th Ave, Glendale, Arizona
