Ruben M. Killingsworth Jr., 78, went home to be with the Lord and reunited with his wife Josie on March 18, 2018. Ruben is survived by his three daughters, Sandra Cordova, Doreen (Marc) Abeyta, and Kathy (Tony) Salcido, his son, Robert Killingsworth, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Eddie (Angie) Killingsworth Sr.
Ruben was an amazing husband, father, tata, brother, uncle, and friend. He loved the Lord and His Word and was an example to everyone. His passions were music, family, and friends. Before her death, Ruben loved making his wife Josie happy. They traveled to many places and made happy memories during camping trips with the grandchildren and other family vacations. He also enjoyed his travels with the mariachis and trios where he got to do great things like play for the president and travel throughout Mexico. He performed live on radio stations and television programs and had many performances with professional folkloric dance groups.
Ruben was gentle but had a fighting spirit. He was an inspiration to his family, kind and humble, he treated everyone with respect and gave them his undivided attention. He always had a smile, even when in pain, and he never gave up no matter how tough the fight. He was great listener and story teller, and made friends feel like they were part of the family. He made a lasting impression to everyone he met.
Ruben was loved greatly by everyone and will be missed but never forgotten.
