Sarah Armenda Venable passed away on May 29, 2026 in Goodyear, Arizona at the age of 95. She was born on June 17th, 1930 in Briggsville, Arkansas to Joseph and Louvinia (Hawkins) Mobley. Sarah was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Quinton, her daughter Nanette Buckley, 2 sisters, 1 brother, and her Mom and Dad.
Sarah retired from Lucent Technologies. In May of 1986, Quinton and Sarah purchased their retirement home in Forest Lakes, AZ. They spent the majority of their time together fixing their new home. They enjoyed sharing it with many family and friends. Sarah was an avid reader. You could always find a book next to her. Quinton and Sarah loved to travel. They visited every state including Canada and Mexico. She enjoyed spending time with her daughter, Barbara, her grandson Kenny, and his family. Sarah enjoyed sitting on her porch in Forest Lakes drinking her favorite wine, and reminiscing with family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Meyer, grandson Kenny Kuhn (Elizabeth), 2 grandaughters, Kimberly Smith and Michelle Ross, along with 6 great grandchildren, and many extended family and friends.
