Shirley was the youngest of 12 children from Herschel and Gladys Allen. She spent much of her childhood on the west coast and Arizona with her family, moving from state to state working as migrant workers before settling in Surprise, Arizona. She went to Dysart Elementary and High School. She met and married “Shorty” Floyd D. Gaines in Surprise.
She is survived by her four children: Keith D. Gaines, Lori L. Miller, Jason F. Gaines and Justin K. Gaines as well as grandchildren, a great-grandson, brothers, a sister, nieces and nephews, in-laws, and friends.
She also leaves behind many loved ones that went before her, family and friends. She will be missed, she will be loved, she will be remembered.
