Stan Lee Baniewicz

Stan Lee Baniewicz, 54, of Surprise, Arizona passed away on August 24, 2024. He was born in Phoenix Arizona to Donald J. Baniewicz and Margreth Green Baniewicz on 11/16/1969. He was a graduate of Cortez High School and extended his education on baseball scholarships with classes in General Studies at Phoenix College, Phoenix, AZ, Physical Education studies at Mesa State College, Grand Junction, CO and before attending New Mexico State, Las Cruces, NM he completed an Associates of Arts degree at Glendale Community College, Glendale AZ.

His love for baseball and people carried on whether as a player, coach, groundskeeper, instructor, MLB Scout or helping his brothers coaching their high school or college teams. He traveled around the country instructing at baseball camps for American Baseball Camps as a National Associate teaching all aspects of baseball, and International Performance Baseball, for a Baseball Combine for draft eligible and free agent baseball players to compete against major league organization’s Rookie League/Extended Spring Team. Evaluated ball players to discern if they were capable of playing professional baseball. He also was an Associate Scout for the Pittsburgh Pirates Major League Baseball team.

Stan loved to fish, play golf and socialize with anyone - even those he didn’t know. By the end of the conversation they were best friends. He was a great storyteller and remembered everyone once he met them. He made people feel special with the way he connected with them. When speaking of Stan, his friends say the minute he entered a room, the room just lit up as he exuded joy, love and fun. Ending a conversation he most likely would say “Always love each other” or “I love you”. He was genuinely funny and so very loving and his ability to make people laugh was amazing.

Stan is survived by his children Paige Baniewicz and Blake Baniewicz and their mother Laura, Grandson Liam Baniewicz, Parents: Don and Margie Baniewicz, Brothers Philip (Lisa), Steven (Kassie), Donnie (Maria), Nieces and Nephews: Miranda, Noah, Madeline, Hope, Abigail, Daniel and Matthew. And Sugar, Stan’s precious mini Dachshund. Preceded in death by his grandparents Edward “Johnny” and Irene Green, John and Stephanie Baniewicz.

You are missed and loved so much.
