Stanley Walter Lupeika

In Lithuania, they say goodbye to the departed praying "Give eternal rest to the deceased, Lord, and let eternal light shine upon him ..."

Stanley Walter Lupeika (Lithuania Name - Stasys Valdis Lupeika), 84, of Phoenix Arizona, passed away June 9th, 2024.

He was born in Kaunas, Lithuania on June 18th, 1939. His parents where Mother Katrina Lupeika (Lithuania Name – Kotrina Lupeikiene maiden name Nee Bimbiraite) and Father Stasys Lupeika.

Stanley Lupeika Graduated from High school with the Gary Public School System in Gary Indiana on June 6th, 1958.

He joined the Army August 23rd, 1958 and was released from service on August 18th, 1965.

He began his career in 1960 with Illinois Bell Telephone Co and retired from US West in Phoenix Arizona in 1995. During his career he had many positions and obtained many certifications. His work ethic and knowledge garnered him a contract in Provo Utah for 1 year after his retirement.

His passion was his Orchestra “Stan Lee Orchestra” the Orchestra played big band era music and performed at many hot spots in Arizona for many elite clienteles.

Stanley married Barbara Carney in Gary Indiana and had 3 children.

Later Stanley married the love of his life and soul mate Norma June Marble on July 9th, 1977.

Stanley was preceded in death by Spouse Norma June Lupeika, Daughter Zoe Lupeika, Step-Son Larry (Dawn) Gilliland, Step-son Clifford Gilliland, Step-son Robert Gilliland, Step-son Jeffery Gilliland, Mother Katrina Lupeika, Father Stansys Lupeika.

Stanley was survived by Daughter Ann Lupeika, Son Stanley (Pia) Lupeika, Step-daughter Tammy (Basil) Pulaski, Step-son Byron Gilliland, 26 Grandchildren, 33 Great Grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren, Brother Walter (Annette) Lupeika.

A Memorial service will be held on June 25th, 2024 @ 1:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 4748 W Orangewood Ave Glendale, AZ 85301.
