Stuart “Stu” Mitchell Adams, 59, of Glendale, Arizona entered into Paradise on June 22, 2019. Stu was born in Fort Defiance, Arizona on November 22, 1959 to Vivian and Donna (Wood) Adams. Stu grew up in 5 different states and attended 17 different schools because he was the child of an FBI agent who was frequently reassigned. Stu joined the Air force after quitting high school and getting his GED, where he stayed for 3 years. After he was discharged, Stu found it difficult to find a good job, so he reenlisted and spent almost another 5 years where he served as an Airman. He met the love of his life, Donna in 1995 and they were married in Sun City, Arizona the following year in his mother-in-laws back yard. Stu loved sports. He was an avid Cubs fan who always rooted for the Green Bay Packers….. until he got married to Donna and soon learned to love the Diamond Backs and Cardinals (even when they were losing). Even if his teams were not playing he could still be found in front of the TV watching golf or tennis or anything with a “Stick and Ball”.
Stu being a true patriot was a member of VFW and DAV (Disabled American Veterans Chapter 20; Glendale, Arizona). Stu actually met his wife, Donna Marie at The Disabled American Veterans.
Stu leaves behind his wife, Donna Marie of 23 years, brother Scott Adams, sisters Christine Cheaney and Marcie Lenio, children; Bill, V Alan, Nicole, Sean & Chad Sanders, grandchildren: Benjamin & Brielle Sanders and many close friends.
He is preceded by his parents; brother Mike Adams and sister Mitzi Adams.
Services for Stu will be held on July 11th 2019, at 10am at The National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona 23029 Cave Creek Road in Phoenix, Arizona 85024 followed by a reception to Celebrate his life at the Disabled American Vets Chapter 20 located at 8447 N 61st Ave 85302.
Afterglow
“I’d like the memory of me
to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an afterglow
of smiles when life is done.
I’d like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing times
and bright and sunny days.
I’d like the tears of those who grieve,
to dry before the sun
of happy memories
that I leave when life is done.”
