Barrett, Teddy Thomas 86, of Peoria, Arizona was taken just five days after his beloved wife Joyce on November 30, 2015. Ted was born December 30, 1928 to Raymond and Lela Barrett in Green Forest, Arkansas. He moved to Phoenix in 1934 and graduated Phoenix Union High School in 1947. Ted was a Civil Engineer for Southern Pacific Railroad, retiring in 1989. Ted married Joyce Ann Frear in 1953, they had five children: Christine Rodriguez (Litchfield Park), Philip Barrett (Murphy, TX), James Barrett (Phoenix), Lisa Prosch (Boulder, CO), and Jennifer Bethay (Glendale). He is grandfather and great-grandfather to 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Ted will be remembered for his endless curiosity, engineering expertise, generous spirit, engaging conversation, and hearty laugh. A memorial service will be held for both Ted and Joyce at West Resthaven Chapel (6450 W. Northern Ave.) at 11:00am, Monday, December 7.
