Thomas Lee Franklin Huckabay was courageous and filled with purpose. He was beholden to the King of Kings, in life, and now in death. He went to be with the Lord on November 22nd, 2025, what seems like too soon, even though if asked, he would unwaveringly say that this was in the Lord’s time, and not ours.
He was 44 years old, born to parents Walter Don Jr. and Karan (Polm) Huckabay, with siblings Crystal Toren, Josh Huckabay and Ryan Huckabay. He spent his childhood years growing up in, and around, the Porterville, CA area, and had a most idyllic childhood fishing, camping, building forts, and playing sports. He was surrounded by loving family including his grandparents, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
In middle school, Tom, moved with his family to Phoenix, AZ where he met the best friends that one could ever have in high school, and continued to stay close with them throughout the years. He enjoyed creating music, studying theology, philosophy and politics and sharing the Lord and good meaningful conversations with others on a personal basis, whether friend or stranger, and whether just once, or over many years. He also poured himself into being a great husband to Michelle, and father to Jack and David; making sure that they knew without a shadow of a doubt the purpose for which he lived.
He will be missed by those whose life he touched, and who he hopes will find the same sense of hope and purpose in seeking what is good, true and beautiful in this life, as he was drawn to do. Until we meet again, dearest Thomas.
