Tom McDade - son of John Warren McDade and Anne Marie Aukenish; brother to Jimmy, Shirley, Mary Lou and Rosie; father to Tom Jr, Chris, Mike and Kelly; and grandfather to Jesse-Rose, Jack, Chandler, Blake, Trent, Max, Owen, Avery and Quinn.
Tom joined the Air Force in 1964 and trained to become an aircraft technician - he was honorably discharged in 1968 from his last station at Luke Airforce Base. He continued his passion for aviation and started his career with Mohawk Airlines, which merged with Allegheny, which ultimately became USAir. Tom retired in 2001 after 33 years of service.
After retirement, Tom moved to sunny Arizona where he continued to golf with his wife Carol and travel regularly to see his children and grandchildren.
Tom was a perfectionist and anyone who knew him knew his work ethic was bar none! He surrounded himself with like-minded friends and worked tirelessly to instill the same work ethic in his children.
Tom was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing all types of animals. His most enjoyable moments were hunting with friends and family all over the country.
In the final years of Tom's life - his greatest moments were spending time with his grandchildren.
Please honor Tom and this great country of ours he loved and protected - by sharing fond, loving or funny memories and pictures of his great life.
We will miss him every day, but are so very blessed we had the chance to be a part of his life.
We love you Dad.
