Victoria Lynn Kennedy, 80, was born on August 10, 1946, in Wichita, Kansas, and passed away on November 2, 2026. A longtime resident of Glendale, Arizona, Victoria will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who knew her.
Victoria began her education at St. Mary's Catholic School, and pursued her higher education close to home, earning an Associates Degree from Glendale Community College. Her professional life was marked by dedication and growth. Victoria built a long career at the telephone company, beginning as an operator and advancing into management within engineering. She also remained grounded in faith and community as a member of the Roman Catholic Church at St. Helen's Parish in Glendale, AZ, and through her involvement with the Pioneers (telephone employees).
In Victoria’s own heart, her proudest achievement was never a title or position, but her family—her sons, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. She loved children, and her care for others was evident in the way she showed up, again and again, with steady encouragement and a generous spirit.
Victoria shared a devoted life with her husband, Joe Kennedy (Glendale, AZ). Whatever Victoria and Joe did, they did together—whether it was football season tickets, Broadway plays, traveling, or, in later years, simply enjoying time watching sports side by side. Their companionship was constant, and their time together was, as those closest to them witnessed, truly beautiful.
Victoria’s warmth extended far beyond the everyday. Her creativity and curiosity found happy expression in scrapbooking and sewing, and she delighted in collecting, shopping, and vacationing. She especially cherished time spent with family and friends in Wichita, KS, and she held fond memories of favorite destinations including Morro Bay, CA, Maui, HI, San Diego, CA, and Switzerland—places that matched her sense of adventure and appreciation for life’s experiences.
Victoria is survived by her husband, Joe Kennedy (Glendale, AZ); her siblings, John Crippen (Wichita, KS) and Marilyn Moreland (Wichita, KS); her children, Blair Kennedy (Phoenix, AZ) and Sean Kennedy (South Haven, KS); and her grandchildren, Stephanie Smith (Goodyear, AZ), Amanda Williams (Goodyear, AZ), Zachary Kennedy (Glendale, AZ), Ashleigh Kennedy (Glendale, AZ), and Nathan Kennedy (Glendale, AZ).
A visitation will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 West Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301, on November 14, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Victoria’s legacy is one of compassion, steadfast support, and deep devotion to those she loved. She will be dearly missed and respectfully remembered.
