

Violet Hazel Palmer 96 passed away on September 7, 2014 peacefully, in her sleep, in her own bed, in her own home. She was born February 28, 1918 to John and Ethyl Swanson in Warren, Minnesota.
Vi worked at the Dodge- Chicago War Plant in 1944 where she inspected gears for the B-29 engines. Two years later she dating Joe Palmer shortly thereafter married him. In 1952 they moved to Phoenix, Arizona with their two little boys and opened “Happiness House”
Vi was the most generous person, always giving, smiling, and loving. She loved bingo and baseball.
She is survived by her sons, John (Connie) Palmer, Chuck (Cindee) Palmer; four grandchildren, Troy (Emily) Palmer, Michelle (Mike) Pinard, Matt (Tristan) Palmer, and Dan (Rhonda) Palmer. There are also twelve great grandchildren, Hannah, Delaney, Avery, Cole, Braedon, Ryne, Madelyn, Kayli, Kylynn, Lucas, Andrew, Kierstyn. Also her sisters, Myrtle (Bill) Bina, and Ruth Previte, and lots of nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends September 15 from 6 to 8 PM and a service will be September 16, 10:00 AM at Chapel of the Chimes, 7924 N. 59th Ave, Glendale, AZ.
