Virginia Ellen Lopez

November 4, 1958July 25, 2020

Virginia Ellen Lopez, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, nana, tia, nina, and friend, went home to be with the Lord on July 25, 2020. She was born in Phoenix, Arizona on November 4, 1958 to Pete and Marcelina Padilla.

Virginia is survived by her loving husband Martin Lopez, her two children Regina and Martin (Patricia) Lopez, her father Pete Padilla, brothers Louis, Arthur, Phillip, and Chris Padilla, and grandchildren Pete, Max, and Priscilla Lopez. She was preceded in death by her mother Marcelina and brother Steven.

Virginia came from a family of strong women, caring for everyone and being the rock that everyone leaned upon. With education being very important to her, Virginia took college classes while working full-time and raising her family, earning her Bachelor’s degree and inspiring the younger women in her family to achieve their own educational goals.

Funeral service will be held at 9 AM on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ. She will be laid to rest at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
