The services were so well done and such a wonderful tribute to him.  You and your family did so much in such a short peorid of time.  I hope you have been able to get some much needed rest.  Know we are thinking of you.

I think Vito is selling MetLife to all the clients Darren has sold new flooring and granite tops to!  Hee Hee.  They are running, talking each others ears off.  Talking about how wonderful life was with their wonderful wives.  I just know it!!

It truly is the one thing that gives me peace is to know Darren and Vito are whole again.  Mind, Body and Soul.  They are living in healthy new bodies and brains.

I can't wait to see them both again someday.  Big hugs.

I believe Darren came down and took Vito by the hand and lead him to Heaven.  Thank you for being my friend.

I will see you tomorrow at the Memorial.  I am glad I got to spend some of the most precious moments I will ever remember with Vito (at the end when it really mattered most).  I am also happy I was there to be there for you to lean on.

Sad news today as we learned of Vito's passing.  Warm memories of a special guy.

Yesterday I buried my husband of 52 years from complications of FTD.  He had stopped swelling food or water.  He looked like a skeleton those last few days.  It was so hard to look at him.  I feel so lonely today even though I placed him in an assisted living facility last August and was home alone.  He was buried in the Veterans National Cemetary in Phoenix, AZ.  I read the posts and feel badly for some of you who have more difficulties with their spouses than I did with mine.  FTD is such a rotten thing, I hate it.  It stole my husband from me 5 years ago.  I don't remember when he stopped talking but that is what I miss most about him.  He was the happiest person during his fight with this disease.  He laughed all the time.  That was his way to communicate with you.  And he would also raise his eyebrows as if to say "Hello"  and "I'm happy you are here" and "I know you".  My family and I elected to donate his brain to Harvard Medical School for research on FTD and I hope that more people from this group and around the world will do the same so it can help find a cure for this horrible disease.  As I grieve for him I also will grieve for any caregiver that has to go through this journey with their loved ones.  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of this group.

In 2007 I sailed from Seattle to Sydney and met the loveliest couple, Vito and Leanne Marino.  I continued to see them regularly over the next 6 years and still kept in touch.  But now it saddens me to hear of Vito's passing.  My thoughts and condolences are with you Leanne and your family.

I am sad so say that last night our friend and neighbor, Vito Marino passed away.  He had been ill and passed away due to complications of his dementia.  The family is in the process of making arrangements now and will let me know the specifics.  Please keep Leanne in your thoughts and prayers,

Last night, Bob's Dad, Vito Marino, passed away.  He was an amazing man who treasured family above all else.  He touched everyone he met,  which was evident by the parade of visitors in these last few days.  While it's difficult for us now, we are comforted by the outpouring of love and care from family and friends.  I'm missing his laugh and smiles.

Bob and I were so sorry to hear about your loss.  We always enjoyed Vito's company when he was healthy, and after he was struggling with his illness.  He was always kind, strong. and vibrant-even after falling ill.  It was so hard to understand why a man like Vito had to fall victim to such a horrible illness.

Vito Mario is one of those men you meet that you will never forget.  I first met Vito in the early 1990's in the financial services business at Met Life.  He was greatly respected by all his peers as a man of commitment and integrity.  As time went by I got  to know his sons Jim & Mike, this is when it got even better.  I got to see a man interact with his sons both at work but more often away from work as a Dad, and then there was his loving and supportiveness with his grandchildren.  He taught his children well, everything from love and respect to a great work ethic.  He was truly a role model in every sense of the word.  He was great in his career but oh so much greater as a husband, father and grandfather.  It was a pleasure knowing him and he will be missed by all.  Grace and Peace...

I'm so sorry for your loss and I am so sorry for the way it happened.  We all lose loved ones, but to watch them go is heartbreaking.  Vito and I went through high school together.  We had the same homeroom for four years and shared many classes.  I missed him at the Medicare Reunion, as I now live in PA.  I would have really enjoyed seeing him and meeting you.  I get together with the old classmates once a year, when I drive back to see family and friends.  I'm sure he will be included in our visit, remembering old times and stories.
