Walter Edward Krushinsky III, 53, of Litchfield Park, AZ passed away on January 16th, 2022. For more than two years, Walter survived stage 4 brain cancer fighting courageously until the end of his life.
Walter was born on August 3rd, 1968 to Walter and Kathleen Krushinsky in Scottsdale, AZ. After graduating from Peoria High School in 1986, he received an Associate’s degree in Fire Science at Phoenix College then a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Management at Arizona State University.
After graduating from ASU in 1995, Walter built a career in Lightning Protection where he worked on some of the largest construction projects in the Southwest United States. In recent years, he started a business of his own in the industry completing a life-long dream.
Known to those close to him as “Dub”, Walter was most himself around his family. He often mentioned how they meant more to him than anything else in the world. Channeling his own ambition, Walter never let a single thing get in the way of supporting his daughters chasing their dreams and was unendingly proud of how the three succeeded in doing just that.
Walter had an infectious spirit that always had you smiling and laughing. You could either find him working
incredibly hard, stopping everything to give you the best pep talk, or being the biggest goofball and social
butterfly. Some of his favorite things to do were taking long road trips in his favorite white truck, traveling to
see his daughters, visiting his parents’ cabin in the woods, watching football and NASCAR, finding the best
restaurants across the country, rocking out to music, and playing pickleball and golf.
Walter was predeceased by his sister Shelly Krushinsky and his grandparents Patricia Krey, Martin Krey, Elizabeth Krushinsky, and Walter Krushinsky Sr. He is survived by his three daughters Kelsey Krushinsky-Blaha (Jim Blaha), Kaitlyn Krushinsky, Jessica Krushinsky; parents Walter and Kathleen Krushinsky; brother William “Bill” Krushinsky (Kimberly Krushinsky); niece Emilee; nephew Michael; aunts and uncles; and girlfriend Michelle Widney (sons Davey Widney and Riley Widney).
There will be a funeral mass held on Wednesday, February 16th, 2022 at 1pm at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church (13720 West Thomas Road, Avondale, AZ 85392) followed by a burial service at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The Walter E. Krushinsky Fundraiser which supports The Ivy Brain Tumor Center and The Gray Matters Foundation in honor of Walter’s life.
