OBITUARY

Wendy Marie Hoskins

November 4, 1973 – January 6, 2025
Obituary of Wendy Marie Hoskins
IN THE CARE OF

West Resthaven Funeral Home & Resthaven Park Cemetery

Wendy Hoskins went to be with our beloved Savior Jesus Christ on January 6, 2025, after a short but intense battle with an incurable disease. She fought illness all her life but remained a loving, sweet, kind, and forgiving person that didn’t complain about her circumstances. Wendy was loved by everyone that knew her, and she sought to love people as Christ taught us to love - unconditionally.

Wendy married Steve on May 23, 2009, and lived happily with him in Peoria, AZ. until the time of her passing. This marriage was a God given love affair. Her passing leaves her husband heartbroken and lost without her.

Wendy was a children’s teacher, grades 1-5. She adored being a teacher and loving on “her” kids. Many times, she bought food or clothes for kids that were without and ensured she was their protector as much as their teacher. She loved shaping young minds. It was her passion.

Wendy was also a voracious reader that devoured books on a weekly basis. She enjoyed watching mysteries and Hallmark movies. One of her biggest passions, was just being with her family especially her husband, Steve, her mom Diane, her sister Debbie, her niece McKenna and nephew TJ (who resides out of state). Wendy kept up longstanding friendships with a small group of ladies who she loved intensely. Most notably, her lifelong best friend, Cori.

Wendy is survived by her husband Steve, her mom Diane, her mother-in-law Velma, her sister Debbie, brother-in-law Troy, nephew TJ, niece McKenna (Landon) and grandniece Evelyn.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry.

Wendy was also a lover of dogs and left behind two rescue dogs that also miss her terribly.

Wendy will be greatly missed by all who knew her, but no one more than her husband, Steve, who keeps her memory safe in his heart. The good news - because of the hope we have in our Savior, Jesus, we know we will see her again and she is now no longer ill, no longer in pain, and all of her tears have been wiped away. Praise be to God!
