After graduating Jefferson high school, Bill joined the U.S. Navy where he served in the Vietnam War. Bill enjoyed hiking, listening to bluegrass music and visiting the sand dunes in Glamis, California. He enjoyed a lifelong career as a gear machinist.
Bill is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diane and their children Joe and Kelsey, along with three grandchildren: Tommie, Tyson and Hunter, as well as two nieces.
He is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Melissa Knebel and his sisters Mary Alice Knebel, Sandra Gibson and Linda Myers.
A memorial service for William will be held Friday, January 14, 2022 at 1:00 PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home (6450 West Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301).
