Passed away in Albuquerque, NM on June 16, 2012 at the age of 99. Blu was a former resident of Glendale and Sun City for 31 years with his wife Edna before he moved back to Albuquerque in 2010. He was born in Thayer, MO in 1913 and later moved to Oklahoma where he grew up and attended college. Blu served in the US Army from 1943 - 1945 when he began his career in construction. He was preceded in death by his wife Edna and son Alan. Blu is survived by his brother James E. Risner and two sisters Bernice Johnston and Fern Rankin, his daughters Rhonda Walker, Sharon Miller, step-daughter Karen Lockett and their husbands and families of 5 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one on the way. Many hearts are saddened at this loss and he will be missed. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 21 from 10 - 11 AM, at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM West Resthaven Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale.
