Frank was blessed with a large and loving blended family. He married Barbara Jean Long, on June 16, 1967 in Peoria, Az. Frank helped raise her three children along with his three children with patience, discipline and humility. From the beginning of their marriage, he dedicated their children to God and encouraged them to explore the beauty of the Bible. Frank served the Lord as Minister of Music, Trustee and Treasure of several Baptist churches. Frank served in the US Navy, following his honorable discharged he drove in the Professional Racing Association for three years. Frank retired from Arizona Public Service after 30 years. His interests were bowling, Toastmasters, traveling, ballroom and square dancing. Frank was kind hearted and soft-spoken, and always had time to tell a joke, answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how small. He will be dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is in heaven with his Lord. Frank’s last days of his life were spent being cared for and surrounded by family members, in the home of his grandchildren, Jason and Vanessa Williams. Frank is survived by his wife, Barbara; his daughters, Elaine, Tina, Sandy, Debbie Engwall (Earl), Cindy Stevens and son Glen Long. Thirteen grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. Viewing/visitation is at Chapel of the Chimes 7924 N 59 Ave Glendale, Az 85301 on Monday 2/18/2019 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm.
Funeral services will be held at South Peoria Baptist Church 9000 W Olive Ave Peoria, AZ 85345 on Tuesday 2/19/2019 at 10:00 am. Graveside Burial will immediately follow church service at Rest Haven Cemetery 6450 W Northern Ave Glendale, AZ 85301, approximately at 2:30 pm. The Patriot Guard Riders will escort Frank to Rest Haven Cemetery where he will be honored by the US Navy Honors Team as a veteran and Barbara will receive his flag.
