Wynelle Wiggins, 87, was surrounded by her family as she returned to her heavenly home on January 31, 2020. Wynelle was born in Carrollton, Georgia on December 31, 1932, the daughter of the late Thomas Watson and Flonnie Mae Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie Joe Wiggins, by her brother Thomas Earl Martin, and her sisters Helen Elizabeth Cox and Carolyn Martin Denney.
Wynelle came into this world with her identical twin sister Vernelle who were nicknamed “pinkie and bluey.” They were inseparable in their childhood days and stayed very close throughout their adult life. Following her graduation from Carrollton High School, Wynelle worked for the Coca-Cola Company in Atlanta, Georgia for four years in the Accounts Payable department. She then met the love of her life on Daytona Beach in Florida. After a six-month engagement, she married Jack Wiggins on September 8, 1957. Jack and Wynelle resided in Lancaster, California most of their married life where they raised two boys, Daniel Joe Wiggins born May 23, 1965 and Michael Kevin Wiggins born February 25, 1968. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and spent much of her time as a homemaker. In 1980, Wynelle decided to re-enter the workforce once more and became an Avon Representative. She loved her customers and became lifelong friends with many of them. After 37 years of service, she retired from Avon and moved to Glendale, Arizona to live closer to her grandchildren and take care of her husband of 59 years as his health was fading.
Wynelle is survived by her twin sister; Vernelle (Pat) Moore, her half-brother; Dr. Frederick (Denise) Martin, her two sons; Daniel (Michelle) Wiggins and Kevin (Elaine) Wiggins, her grandchildren; Zachary James Wiggins and Dawson Jack Wiggins and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be February 8, 2020 at 6:30pm located at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary.
