Danilo Frias Quintana, 61, of San Jacinto, Riverside County, California, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026, following a five-and-a-half-month stay in the Intensive Care Unit at Sharp Memorial Hospital.
Dan was born on January 31, 1965, in Manila, Philippines. He spent his childhood in the Philippines before immigrating to the United States at the age of 18. He made Southern California his home for the remainder of his life.
Dan had a passion for technology, particularly computers and electrical systems. He enjoyed repairing cars and toys, riding motorcycles, jet skiing, riding three-wheeled motorcycles, driving a motorhome, traveling, and singing karaoke. He was a devoted son and brother, a loving and supportive husband, and a proud dog dad who cherished his beloved companions.
In 1995, Dan received a kidney transplant that gave him 23 more years of life before his kidney health again required transplant consideration. In 2018, he needed another transplant but was unable to qualify due to a heart condition. He subsequently underwent dialysis five times a day. Over the years, his health continued to decline due to recurrent sepsis infections and other complications, ultimately leading to his passing.
Dan will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Cecille, and their fur babies, Captain and Loki; his four siblings, Rudy, Jemellee, Jaime, and Joy; his nieces and nephews; Mother in law Rosita, and Sisters-in -law Leonida, Haydee and Claudeth, Brothers in law Carlito and Dominador and families.
His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him, in the many moments they shared, and in the lasting impact he made on the lives of his family and friends.
