Elsie Joanne Amaya was born in Los Angeles, CA, on August 16, 1936 and passed away on November 16, 2014. She was born to Josephine Schambers Amaya and Lupe Amaya. Elsie leaves many cousins and God Children who will miss her kindness. After graduating from Sacred Heart High School in Lincoln Heights, Elsie attended Bryan’s Stenotype School, then worked as a Court Reporter for over 30 years, primarily in Pasadena, CA. A loving and giving person, she was a big supporter of American Indian Children in need, and gave to them often. Funeral mass will be at Holy Family Church in Glendale, CA, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2014, with burial at Resurrection Cemetery immediately thereafter. A lunch at Elsie’s residence in Glendale will follow.
