Julia B Lilly

June 11,1923-March 23rd, 2016 Julia was born in Greenbrier County, Lewisburg, West Virginia on 6/11/1923. She was preceded in death by her father Ulysses Grant Lilly on 10/27/45, her mother Belle Bernard Lilly on 11/07/45, Her Brother Fred Lilly, her brother Keith Lilly, her sister Frances Smith on 2/25/10. Julia was the youngest in her family. Julia went to college and graduated from Los Angeles State College with a Bachelor of Arts on June 16, 1950. Julia worked for many years at a hospital in Los Angeles and worked her way up to be the supervisor of a medical lab. She never married but her bothers and her sister had children that she was very close to. Julia lived in the La-Brea Towers apartments for many years until she felt she needed to have a little help. She then found a home at Garden Crest in Los Angeles. She lived there in assisted and skilled nursing for many years and grew close to some of the people that worked there. Julia did some traveling and was a very independent person and had many friends.Julia was deeply loved by family and friends. We will miss her strong personality and her loving, caring and giving heart. She loved family and wanted the rest of the family that is left to keep in touch with each other. She gave life a good fight up until the end. She lived and enjoyed herself and even took care of making sure everything was done for herself so that she would never be a burden on anyone.
