My most sincere condolences to Cesar, Paulo, Miguel, the De La Fuente & Reyes families. May our Good Lord comfort you during this difficult time & give you peace knowing that Louie is now with her Creator!

Louie was one of our dearest friends — the girl with the magical voice.

Ordinary melodies never seemed enough for her.  She would play with notes, twist the familiar,  and turn a simple song into something celestial.  Her music wasn’t just heard — it was felt — deep in the heart and soul of everyone who listened.

But beyond her extraordinary gift,  Louie was one of the kindest, most generous,  and most compassionate people we have ever known.

She took great pride in her art — just as we took joy and pride in witnessing her talent and rise to fame. 

Yet what she cherished most was her family: her beloved husband, Cesar;  her two sons, Paolo and Miguel and their families; her siblings Osbeng,  Rogie, Alex and Tony; her mom and dad whom she felt passed away too soon.

Louie was also deeply proud of her Christian faith — steadfast in its truth, unwavering in its values. She was proud of her alma mater,  and of all the people whose lives she touched — from her days as a student  until her final, graceful farewell.

Louie was truly one of a kind,  and we will miss her more than words can say.  But we take comfort in knowing she knew  how much we loved her — how highly we held her in our hearts  since the very first day we met as kids in school.

She knows we will never forget her.

So, here’s to you, dearest Louie — keep singing your heavenly songs.  Watch over us as we journey through the end phase of our lives,  as we try to grow old with grace and peace.

And when our time comes  to also cross that great beyond,  it would be truly wonderful if you could be there — radiant and smiling — one of the first angels to welcome us home.

We were truly blessed to have her as our godparent and to hear her sing “Somewhere” from West Side Story at our wedding in 2007 — her voice carried through the open air, filling the moment with God’s presence, love, and a deep sense of peace. Though the song speaks of hope and a place for love, that day it felt like she was reminding us of the place God prepares for all who love one another.
