She married at the age of 22 to Jose Ortiz and raised 8 children. You can imagine how busy our household was. Of course, there were trials like with any big family, but we were happy because we knew that our mother “Nanay" was on our side no matter what.
Nanay was the most loving, kind, thoughtful, and selfless person that you ever met in your life. She loved to send balikbayan boxes to her children and grandchildren in Manila and always looked forward to spending time with them every year.
She always encouraged us to be better and more God-fearing people. She was a fighter and survivor. She fought all life crises that came her way and sacrificed everything because of her deep love for her family.
It is very painful to lose her, but we are at peace. She is now in heaven, as she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. No more tears, no more pain, no more sickness and suffering.
We will miss our beloved Nanay. We will miss her face time. We will miss her laugh. She will always be in our hearts.
Please join us as we celebrate her life on August 15, 2026, from 12:00pm to 8:00pm at Glendale Funeral Home 511 S. Central Avenue Glendale, CA 91204.
