Wendy Lee Olsen

Wendy was born on April 17, 1953 in Torrance, CA to Marvin and Eva (Fritz) Scheeler. She graduated from Burbank High School in 1971, then went on to graduate from the Marinella School of Cosmetology. On September 2, 1972, she married John W. Olsen. Together, they raised two sons, John and Steven.

Wendy spent most of her life in California, before moving to Oregon, then finding her place in Wisconsin. She was a dedicated homemaker who was a wonderful wife to John for 43 years and a loving, adventurous mom to John and Steven. Wendy was an animal lover who doted on all of the family pets over the years. She enjoyed camping, cooking, gardening, quilting and sewing. Above all, Wendy cherished time spent with all her boys, and the girls’ weekends she shared with her daughter-in-law.

Wendy is survived by her former husband, John W. Olsen, of Sutherlin, OR; sons, John E. Olsen, of Acton, CA and Steven (Sara) Olsen, of Tomahawk, WI; grandsons, Aidan and Bodie; and sister, Mary (Mike) Canterbury of Sun Lakes, AZ.

Wendy was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Scheeler; mother, Eva Davin; brother, Douglas Scheeler; and sister, Linda Scheeler.

In accordance with Wendy’s wishes, a private memorial will be held.
