Ruben H. Vazquez, 85 of Cibolo, TX, formerly of Chicago was born April 4, 1930 in Mexico to the late Miguel and Guadalupe (nee Hernandez) Vazquez and passed away August 11, 2015. Ruben was the beloved husband of Santa Vazquez and the late Maria (nee Magallanes) Vazquez; loving father of Michael (Candelaria) Vazquez, Ruben A. (Maria) Vazquez, Art Vazquez, Patricia Vazquez (Chacko) Kurian, Albert Vazquez and the late Hector Vazquez; dear step-father of Sylvia Puente, Victor (Laura) Puente, Danny Puente, Teresa Puente (Mark) and Cecilia (Puente (Lee) Freitag; cherished grandfather of 18; great-grandfather of 2 and devoted brother of Miguel (Antonia) Vazquez, Esperanza (Emigdio) Herrera, Maria (Jose) Salcedo, Lola (late Juan) Cardenas, Concepcion (Raymundo) Salazar and the late Luis (Ana Marie) Vazquez and fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 19, 2015 from 3-8 PM at Cypress Funeral Home, 1698 N. Bloomingdale Road, Glendale Heights. Prayers will be said on Thursday, August 20 at 8:45 AM at the funeral home and proceed to St. Isidore Catholic Church, 427 W. Army Trail Road, Bloomingdale for funeral mass at 9:30 AM. Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.
