Angel Santana lived a life full of joy and laughter. He was the kind of person who made every moment feel like a celebration. Whether it was a family gathering, a neighborhood hangout, or just a regular day, you could count on Angel to pull out the domino table and bring everyone together.
Angel was the life of the party. He had a playful spirit, a kind heart, and an endless supply of fun facts, better known to those around him as "Angel-Facts." He invented games on the spot, made everyone laugh, and always knew how to lift the mood. His love for holidays, especially Christmas, was unmatched. From his extravagant decorating to dressing for the occasion, Angel made sure the season was felt in full.
A music lover through and through, Angel was once a DJ in his youth, spinning records and keeping the energy high at every event. That passion for music stayed with him his whole life and was a big part of how he connected with the people around him. He also had a lifelong love for wrestling and a deep fascination with the worlds of Godzilla and King Kong, joys he always brought family members in to enjoy with him.
A proud Mets fan and even prouder family man, Angel surrounded himself with the people he loved most. His friends became family, and his family meant everything to him. He is survived by his sisters Nancy Ortiz and Kathy Ortiz, his brother Jerry Santana, his brother-in-law Emil Herscher, his nephews Johnathan Ortiz and Maximus Ramirez, his cousins Steven Ramirez, Karen Ramirez, Melissa Ramirez, Leslie Arenas, his nieces Tiffany Montañez and Isabella Vasquez, and his beloved goddaughters Destiny and Desiree Lui.
Angel brought light into every room he entered. His warmth, humor, and hospitality will be deeply missed, but the memories he created and the love he shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
