OBITUARY

Anthony Ambrosino

March 8, 1968October 7, 2020

Anthony Ambrosino, born, March 8, 1968, to Anthony and Margaret (nee Dunn) Ambrosino, passed away, October 7, 2020, after a two year battle with ALS. Anthony is survived by his loving wife and best friend Rachele Ambrosino, beloved father of Anthony, Sonny, Alexandra and Salvatore, devoted son to Anthony and Margaret Ambrosino, and second father to Stephen Biagio Ambrosino. He is predeceased by his brother Stephen. Anthony is also survived by a very large family and many friends. He will be truly missed by all that ever came in contact with him.

He worked as an electrician in Local 3 Union for many years and there was nothing Anthony could not do or fix. He used these talents to help whomever was in need. He was selfless in every way.

Anthony’s other passion was hunting. No matter what was going on, opening day to closing was his time for hunting that he would share with his children and best friends. His family would spend a great deal of time upstate in the house that he built getting ready for hunting.

Anthony started dating the love of his life Rachele back on July 17, 1985 and shared in creating one of the most amazing love stories you could ever hope for in life. They raised four beautiful children. Anthony’s love for his children transcends through them with the love they share with their family and friends. Anthony could not be more proud of them. He coached their little leagues in sports and the family did so much together in such a short period. He would beam with such pride when he would be talking about them and all they were doing.

Anthony’s Christian faith has guided him most of his life. His love for Christ showed in every act of his life. It would come out with his passion for leading young men and women on the field while he was a coach. His impact on his players will last a lifetime. His impact on everyone he met will last a lifetime. There are very few people in life that will leave a legacy like Anthony. He has mentored and led too many to count. There are few people in Howard Beach and beyond that don’t know Anthony Ambrosino. We are truly losing one of God’s greats here on earth.

We hope that all who were ever in his embrace live out their days with him in mind, continuing on his legacy.

What can I say that hasn't already been said. Anthony was truly one of a kind. I will cherish all the memories and good times we shared. The fun times, the crazy times, , the tough times, the countless hours working in the house til all hours of the night. I am so thankful that I was able to call him family and brother. When I married Antoinette I realized I not only married a great woman but married into a great family. The bonds that are shared with  one another are unbreakable. He touched the hearts of everyone who knew him and we all saw that yesterday.  Anthony was a Leader,  Father,  Husband ,  Son ,  Uncle,  Brother,  Friend,  and an example of how we all should live our lives. A life filled with compassion, generosity, strength, love, faith, and loyalty. Anthony loved and he loved hard . Anthony cared and he cared hard. Anthony fought and he fought hard. He is the strongest man I know but also the most caring. Rachele Anthony may no longer be with us but he lives inside of each one of your  kids. He's alive in each one of them. The way they move, talk, love, live, and  laugh are all signs that Anthony is all around you. The character, family values, and the love they share for each other is the sign of what a great job you and Anthony have done raising them. You and Anthony have raised 4 exceptional kids who know what he stood for, who know unconditional love and know what the word family truly means. FAITH OVER FEAR!!!!!

I am so sorry for your family's loss of father and husband.
When Sonny was in my class last year, it was so evident that he was taking his dad's illness very hard; he was missing doing the special things they did together, particularly hunting.
I wish you all the best during this difficult time.

I’m sorry for the loss of Anthony he will be missed by his family and friends. Anthony was such an awesome father I remember seeing him in the stands last year when the kids were in the championship playoffs. He was always there for the kids. Anthony was a great support to his family.

What can I say my cousin was 1 of a kind. Even though we did not see each other often, we made sure at least once or twice a week to send each other text messages and funny thing is even though he was going through alot he would always help me get through something and make me snap out of it.
We always sent each other our favorite Bible verses and prayers for that day. The Bible verse below was one of his favorite Bible verses that we should all remind ourselves of. My cousin was a Godly man. He Loved the Lord with his whole heart and soul and now even though we are all so sad and missing him we all have to remember he is with our Lord Jesus Christ and of course his brother Steven.
Anthony will be missed tremendously by us but we all have to remember he is healthy and happy now no more suffering. He also will always be by everybody's side with his golden wings continuing to help us always and forever. Anthony I miss you I will continue to miss you, until we meet again.
With all my Love,
Always and forever,
Your cousin Angela
Luv you cuz
You will always be in my heart for eternity ♥

To The Ambrosino Family,

Our Deepest Sympathy goes out to the family.

We know Anthony from baseball, our sons played together on the same team. He was a great coach and a good friend especially to my son Michael. He always encouraged Mike never to give up and believe in his ability. We had good times traveling as a team and watching the boys play and grow up into young men. Anthony will be greatly missed.

REST IN PEACE OUR FRIEND.
