

Anthony Prieto
Anthony Prieto was born in Brooklyn, New York in April 1964 to Frank and Margaret Prieto. Soon afterward his Family moved to Ridgewood, Queens.
◦ Anthony’s whole Life was spent in Ridgewood where he went to School, made Lifelong Friends, worked, got Married, and had a Family: his wife Doris and his three children, Christopher, Andrew, and Kayla, as well as his two Granddaughters, Ava and Aubrey. Anthony will also be missed by his sister Mary and his two brothers Frankie and Manny; his niece and nephews Matthew, Victoria, Nicholas, Dominick, Vincent and his wife Danielle and their two daughters, Anthony’s Grand-Nieces, Sophia and Mackenzie, and also his Sisters in Law Debbie and Amelia and his Brother in Law Keith.
◦ Anthony Loved his Family. They were his First Love.
◦ His Second Love was his Profession: Cooking. His Life was spent either with his Family or Working to make others Happy with his Culinary Skills. He Loved this.
◦ Anthony’s Specialty was Pizza. From his days managing Rocky’s Pizzeria on Knickerbocker Avenue to his Pizzeria and Chicken Counter on Fresh Pond Road he became Well Known and Well Liked. Anthony was also our Family Chef at Parties, Celebrations, Holidays, and Special Occasions.
◦ Anthony Volunteered to prepare Meals for Firefighters after the September 11th Attacks in 2001 and also for Our Annual September 11th Memorial Luncheon for the past 24 Years, where we Honor First Responders and Members of the Military.
◦ On December 11, 2025 Anthony was taken from us after one of the over 50 Surgeries he endured over the past 25 years due to Ulcerative Colitis and related health issues.
◦ Anthony will always be remembered for his Big Heart, his Sense of Humor and his ability to always put a Smile on People’s faces.
◦ His Primary Purpose in Life was to Love and Provide for his Family and Help Others in need. He will be Greatly Missed.
Visitation services will be held at Werst & LaBella Funeral Home, located at 71-41 Cooper Ave, Glendale, NY 11385, on December 19, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
A religious ceremony will take place at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Roman Catholic Church, 62-81 60th Pl, New York, NY 11385, on December 20, 2025, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
