Celia Bollmann (née Kuil), a devoted wife, loving mother, and magical grandmother, entered into eternal rest on August 16, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, on April 22, 1943, to William and Eleanor Kuil, Celia grew into a strong and independent woman whose life was a testament to the power of family. She met the love of her life, Gerard Bollmann, and together they built a beautiful life, recently celebrating 51 years of marriage.
Celia’s true passion was her family. She was a guiding light for her children, Kathleen (Raymond) Detheridge and Joseph (Karen) Bollmann. She taught them, and everyone she loved, to find the magic in the everyday moments. With a deep and abiding faith in God, she made every holiday an enchanting event. She was the keeper of traditions, ensuring the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, and Santa Claus visited and brought joy to each new generation.
Her love extended warmly to her grandchildren, Michael, Craig, Rebecca, Kellie Ann, Courtney, and Heather, and her great-grandchildren, Cody, Jack, and Jayden. She loved Christmas carols and TV specials, and would faithfully call Kathleen to make sure the grandkids wouldn't miss a single one. It was in these simple, loving acts that her heart was most visible.
She leaves behind a family that will forever cherish her memory, including her brothers Charles Kuil and William (Debbie) Kuil. Celia’s legacy is one of unwavering love, the importance of tradition, and the simple joy of a family gathered together.
The family will receive friends for a visitation on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Werst & LaBella Funeral Home, Glendale, NY. A funeral service will be held at 9:30 AM on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at St. Pancras Church, 72-22 68th Street, Glendale, NY, followed by burial at Pinelawn Cemetery.
