Connie was born in Oberschwarzach, Germany in 1935 and immigrated to America in 1956. Connie was married to her husband Ernst in 1960 and was the mother to her two sons, Keith and Roy. In 1964, Connie, along with her husband Ernst, became the proud owner and operator of vonWesternhagen’s
Restaurant, in Glendale, NY. For over 45 years Connie and Ernst provided the finest German-American cuisine until retiring in 2010 for a more relaxed life on the shores of Breezy Point, NY.
Connie is predeceased by her husband Ernst and son Roy. She is survived by her son Keith, daughter-in-law, Patti (Scheriff), grandson and wife, Keith Jr. and Cheryl (Racho), great-grandson, Keith Joseph III, great-grandaughter, Charly Rose, her sister Kathi Scheurer, and her step-grandchildren, Kerri Mahoney (Holly), and Matthew Holly.
Connie, who was affectionately known as Oma, will forever be in our hearts.
Church Services will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 83-17 78th Avenue, Glendale, NY on Friday, July 31st, 2026 at 10:30AM.
