With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Debra DiLorenzo, a beloved partner, sister, aunt, great-aunt, and cherished friend whose kindness, generosity, and love touched countless lives.
Debra shared a devoted and loving partnership with Dennis Goodman, who stood by her side through life’s joys and challenges. She was the treasured sister of Claire DiLorenzo, with whom she shared a lifelong bond of love and family.
She was a deeply loved aunt to Joseph Johnson and his wife, Michelle Johnson; Jilian Johnson and her wife, Jill Mastrandrea; James Johnson and his wife, Amanda Johnson; and Jesse Johnson and his wife, Vanessa Johnson. Debra found immeasurable joy in her role as great-aunt to Alyssa Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Caleb Johnson, Jake Johnson, Julian Johnson, Charlotte Johnson, James Johnson, and Julia Johnson. She treasured her family and was happiest when surrounded by those she loved most.
For most of her life, Debra was a dedicated and talented hairdresser in Ridgewood, Queens, where she built lasting friendships with generations of clients. Her warm smile, listening ear, caring heart, and let’s be honest, her love of a good dirty joke, made every appointment feel like a visit with family. She had a gift for making people feel beautiful, valued, and loved.
Debra cherished family gatherings, where laughter and conversation filled the table, and she loved spending days shopping, enjoying restaurants, and shows in Manhattan, especially with her beloved dear friend, George. She was always the first to lend a helping hand, offer words of encouragement, or simply be there when someone needed her. Her compassion, generosity, and unwavering love for others defined the way she lived her life.
Debra was predeceased by her beloved parents, Ralph DiLorenzo and Elvira DiLorenzo, and brother Frank DiLorenzo. She now joins them in eternal peace, reunited with many cherished family members and dear friends who went before her.
Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we find comfort in the countless memories she leaves behind. Debra's love, laughter, strength, and generous spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
She will be forever loved, forever remembered, and deeply missed.
