I have memories of Frankie, always smiling, making a joke. We would be at house parties like we said till the break of dawn. Nelson, Carmencita, my sister Maritza and I. We did not need an excuse to have a party, it was always a way of of hanging out together. Dancing the hustle or just being able to have a time of laughter. I remember the times we would be across the street as we use to play handball all the time. The court became ours and basically no one was able to take over as we had so many cousins together that played we would spend the day just with each other.

When I think about my Brother Frankie, I remember all of the trouble we would get into as kids. As young men we would travel the club scene and house parties here in Brooklyn and Manhattan, the Bronx and Queens. We would play any sports anywhere at any time. I remember the day that the Navy recruiter came to the house to pick up Frankie for basic training. I slept on the sofa in order for me not to miss him leave without me saying bye and how proud I am of him. My Brother Frankie will always be alive in my Heart. I will still speak with him daily thru my prayers. Frankie always had a way to get a smile or a great Laughter out of you and anyone else around. He always was up for any practical jokes. Like the time we went to a pizzeria in the Village and he had a couple of stink bombs and broke them inside the place. The look of the people said it all. The tears running down our face due to laughter. They are so many, many more stories that live in my heart and mind. I will and am missing my Older Brother FRANKIE. I lost someone who in the long run made me laugh and cry and because of that. I am the person that I am today. R.I.P. my Brother Frankie , I now want to say that Frankie was the father of Christopher Cruz and did more than I ever imagined for him. No matterwhat,he had his son’s back from the start. I applaud him for that. We didn’t see eye to eye on everything but when it came down to it “We did Love Each Other”. I will miss you Frankie. Amen and Thank you for being my Friend and my Brother. 😞❤️🌹
