Gregoria Ramos

Gregoria Ramos was born on December 24,1943 to Eustaquio Ramos and Vicenta Garcia in Guayama, Puerto Rico. She came to New York City at the age of 18.

After earning her GED, she attended Baruch College where she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in education. She then started her career in teaching. Gregoria continued to sate her appetite for learning and earned her Master's degree from Hunter's college. Her teaching career spanned for 30+ years until her retirement in 2007 from PS7.

Gregoria devoted her life to our Lord God. She was a faithful member of All Nations Baptist Church until Dementia altered her quality of life. On Tuesday November 26 she went into cardiac arrest from which she was unable to recover. She was reborn on her mother's birthday.

Fernando Ramos - brother

Hilton (Ruth) Garcia - son

Antonio (Jacqueline) Corcino - grandson

She is survived by her children:

Gloria Garcia - daughter

Pedro (Andrea) Corcino- son

Rene (Melissa) Corcino- son

Jose Sanchez- son

and her 11 grandchildren and

6 great- grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A prayer service will take place on Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, at Werst & LaBella Funeral Home 71-41 Cooper Ave, Glendale, NY 11385.

A committal service will occur Friday, December 6, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Cypress Hills Cemetery, 833 Jamaica Ave, Brooklyn, New York 11208.
