Isabel Colon, 76, passed away on October 15, 2026. Born April 1, 1950, Isabel will be remembered with deep respect and enduring affection by all who were fortunate enough to know her. She moved through life with a steady resilience and an honest, thoughtful way of caring for others—qualities that made her presence both grounding and unforgettable.
Isabel was, above all, devoted to her family. Family meant the world to her, and she had a rare gift for making people feel they belonged. She welcomed so many relatives and friends as her own, becoming an adoptive mother and grandmother to many, and offering kindness that was practical, constant, and deeply cherished. Her love showed up in everyday attentiveness—always watching the clock, always wanting to know where everyone was, always waiting to be sure her people were safe and on their way home.
A beloved part of Isabel’s life was the joy she brought into a room. She loved to cook for everyone, and her home and table were places of warmth, laughter, and togetherness. She loved parties, dancing, and music, and was often the life of the party—quick-witted and unapologetically funny, with humor that was as bold as it was memorable. Even in difficult moments, her spirit remained strong, and her care for others never wavered.
Isabel leaves behind her two children, Brenda (Carlos) and Charlie(Nelly); her grand children, Jennifer (Jeffery), Blanca, Carlos Jr., Crystal, and Jeanine; her great grand children, Zoey, Mila, Leah, Julia, Joanne, Jordan, Isaac and Kariani; and so many relatives and friends, who were like family —especially her niece Beatriz aka Blondie, whom she had a special relationship with. And her beloved, Luis. She also leaves the lasting memory of an amazing family trip to Puerto Rico in August of 2026, a treasured time together that will remain an amazing memory of everyone gathered as one.
Isabel shared an especially close bond with her daughter, Brenda, who was also her best friend. She also held deep love for her life partner, Luis Torres, whom she reconnected with after 30 years apart. Their love was beautiful, and Isabel cared for him with the same steadfast devotion that defined so much of her life.
