With profound sadness and loving remembrance, we honor the life of Luis José Estevez, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, whose warmth, humor, and unforgettable spirit touched the lives of so many. Luis passed away on September 2, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on December 27, 1949, in Santiago, Dominican Republic, and resident of the familias native town oSan José de las Matas, he was the beloved son of Estela Espinal and Luis Enrique Estevez and the firstborn of 13 children.

Luis shared 45 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Ana Estevez. Together, they built a loving family that meant everything to him. He was a dedicated father to his four children, Samuel, Corina, Luis, and Omar, and a cherished grandfather to Isabella and Ezequiel. As the eldest of a large family, he held a special place in the hearts of his brothers and sisters and was a beloved uncle to many nieces, nephews, and close family friends.

Humble, charismatic, and joyful, Luis was appreciated and loved by many. He had a special way of connecting with others and was known for his sense of humor, playful jokes, and ability to bring laughter wherever he went. He loved his family deeply, especially his grandchildren, children and siblings, and his warmth and easygoing nature left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

Baseball and the game of dominoes were an important part of Luis’s life and many of the memories he shared with the people he loved most. He enjoyed the town baseball games and, over the years, continued creating special memories centered around sports, family, and friendship. He also found great joy in playing dominoes with family and friends, especially during family gatherings, where conversation, jokes, and laughter were always part of the occasion. These simple but meaningful moments reflected his joyful, sociable, and deeply family-oriented spirit.

Luis will be remembered for his humility, sincerity, charisma, and loving spirit. He was a man who delighted in making others laugh, treasured the bonds of family and friendship, and touched countless lives simply by being himself.

His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. Though his absence leaves a profound emptiness, the love he gave, the laughter he shared, and the memories he created will continue to bring comfort and light to those he leaves behind. His legacy lives on in his family, in the values he cherished, and in every life he touched. Luis falleció el 2 de septiembre de 2026, a la edad de 76 años. Nació el 27 de diciembre de 1949 en Santiago, República Dominicana, y fue residente por muchos años de San José de las Matas. Fue el amado hijo de Estela Espinal y Luis Enrique Estevez y el primogénito de 13 hermanos.

Luis compartió 45 años de matrimonio con su amada esposa, Ana Estevez. Juntos formaron una familia. Fue un padre dedicado para sus hijos, Samuel, Corina, Luis y Omar, y un abuelo muy querido para Isabella y Ezequiel. Como el mayor de una familia numerosa, ocupó un lugar muy especial en el corazón de sus hermanos y hermanas, y fue un tío muy querido por muchos sobrinos, sobrinas y amigos cercanos de la familia.

Humilde, carismático y alegre, Luis fue una persona muy apreciada y querida por muchos. Tenía un don natural para conectar con los demás y era conocido por su gran sentido del humor, sus ocurrencias y su capacidad de llevar alegría y risas adondequiera que iba. Amaba profundamente a su familia, especialmente a sus hijos y hermanos, y su calidez y manera sencilla de ser dejaron una huella imborrable en todos aquellos que tuvieron la dicha de conocerlo.

El béisbol y el juego de dominó ocuparon un lugar muy especial en la vida de Luis. Disfrutaba participar en los juegos de béisbol del pueblo y compartir esos momentos con familiares, amigos y miembros de la comunidad. También eran muy significativas para él las partidas de dominó en familia y amigos, donde se reunían para jugar, conversar, bromear y pasar tiempo juntos. Esos encuentros reflejaban su espíritu alegre, sociable y familiar, y se convirtieron en recuerdos muy queridos para quienes tuvieron la oportunidad de compartirlos con él.

Luis será recordado por su humildad, sinceridad, carisma y espíritu amoroso. Fue un hombre que disfrutaba hacer reír a los demás, valoraba profundamente los lazos de familia y amistad, y tocó innumerables vidas simplemente siendo quien era.

Su recuerdo permanecerá para siempre en el corazón de su esposa, hijos, nietos, hermanos, familiares, amigos y de todos aquellos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo y amarlo. Aunque su ausencia deja un profundo vacío, el amor que brindó, las risas que compartió y los recuerdos que creó continuarán llevando consuelo y luz a quienes hoy lo despiden. Su legado vive en su familia, en los valores que tanto atesoró y en cada vida que tocó. Que encuentren paz al saber que el amor de Luis permanecerá siempre con ellos y que jamás será olvidado.
