I am so saddened to hear this news about Phil.  I am just learning of this as he normally would stay with me @ the Holiday Inn Express in Winchester during the N-SSA shoots.  I have known them for over 25 years and this is devastating news.  My deepest condolences to the family- My thoughts and prayers are with everyone. 

I am very sorry to hear about the loss of Phil.  My heart goes out to his family.  He was taken before his time and he will be missed.  He was a great man, funny and knowledgeable.  He was very helpful to me when my Grandfather passed and I will always remember him.  

I had the pleasure of knowing Phil and the Siess family for the last 25 + years. Phil was one of my scout masters and I accredit him for me getting my Eagle Scout rank. I was 17 about to be to old to get the rank and Phil picked me up and took me to the Jamaica Bay Wild Life Refuge. We met the director and planned my project.  He then was a member of my board. After completing my board and getting my rank he asked me "What was the one question you thought we would ask that we didn't"? I said why I don't wear my uniform to meetings. He then asked me to answer the question. 

Phil wanted to push us because he knew life is tough and to be ready for it. He was a great person. He will be truly missed.

Sincere condolences to the family of Philip Siess.  May you find comfort in the words recorded at Acts 24:15 - “And I have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection…….”     These words will be fulfilled in due course.    May we exercise strong faith based on the solid evidence of creation around us, which is the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld.   So look forward to the day when you will welcome Philip.  By once again, sincere condolences.
