An Army Veteran, Robert served his country with dedication and honor. He was an active member of Edward R Miller Post 7336 VFW Post. He was the beloved son of the late James and Hazel Lotz. He was preceded in death by his loving sister Marilyn "Lynn" Lotz. A loving nephew to Mary Hausser and numerous cousins and their children.
Robert loved fishing and having a good time. His passion for travel was evident as he went away every year and enjoyed his timeshare. A true sports enthusiast, he loved baseball and Nascar Racing. He was a fan of the Mets and Brooklyn Cyclones. His hobbies included collecting stamps and baseball cards, which brought him great joy.
Visitation will be held at Werst & LaBella Funeral Home, located at 71-41 Cooper Ave, Glendale, NY 11385, on Thursday, February 26, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Interment Friday, February 27, 2026 at 11:30 am at Calverton National Cemetery, 210 Princeton Blvd. Wading River, NY 11933.
