Passed away on June 12, 2020
William J. Niklaus was born on October 16, 1930. It is with great sadness that we announce his passing on June 12, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
Survived by his wife Joan of 62 years, beloved son, William M., and his devoted loving grandchildren William C. and Kristen, with whom he took much pride.
His most proud achievement was that of being a firefighter at Ladder Company 126, Princeton Street, Jamaica. He worked at one of the busiest houses in the city during his 27 years of service, retiring in 1987. He served three years in the Navy during the Korean War.
He was the perfect definition of love. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. A truly good man, and God's blessing.

“Uncle Bill” was one of the kindest people ever.
He would travel up to the Catskills and would visit my grandparents either at their home or at their Roller Skating Rink. Bill and Joan (and Helen!) would stand at the end of the counter and visit with my grandmother who would take admission.
I have many fond memories of these visits and remember how nice and funny Bill was! Always so kind and always met you with a smile.
