Yolanda Mary Rinaldi, 95, entered eternal rest on June 16, 2026. Born on March 3, 1931, Yolanda was born and raised in Glendale, New York. Throughout a long and meaningful life, she carried herself with steady faith, quiet wisdom, and a thoughtful devotion to those entrusted to her care.
A retired Police Officer with the NYPD, Yolanda lived with a strong sense of duty and an unshakable work ethic. Her resilience was evident not only in her years of service, but in the way she met life’s hardships with dignity and resolve—always placing others before herself and offering kindness and generosity without hesitation.
Yolanda was married to the late Pasquale Rinaldi, and together they built a family rooted in love and commitment. After the loss of Pasquale, she raised her daughter, Patricia, on her own—an enduring testament to her selfless devotion and strength. She was raised in the same home as her daughter, Patricia, and granddaughters, Allison and Francesca, in a four-generation home that reflected the closeness she cherished and the family life she nurtured with care.
Yolanda’s faith was the foundation of her life. A devout Catholic, she was involved in the Padre Pio Prayer Society and the Franciscan Order, and she was a faithful parishioner of St. Helens in Howard Beach and St. Pancras in Glendale. Her devotion was not only practiced, but lived—expressed through compassion, humility, and a steady attentiveness to those around her.
Yolanda is survived by her granddaughters Allison (Mark) Tiberio and Francesca (Dennis) Riese, her great grandchildren, Adriana Mary, Lauren Jean, Genevieve Patricia, George Francis, and Michael Dennis.
She is at rest with her cherished mother, Mary, her devoted husband Pasquale, and her beloved daughter, Patricia.
Her legacy endures in the family she nurtured, the faith she practiced, and the steady goodness she brought to the lives around her.
