Denna Ruth Carr

A loving, long-time friend of many, and cherished member of our family, passed away on Friday. She may be gone from our sight, but not from our memories or hearts. We know that anyone with a personality so sweet and generous, with such a strong character and purpose, would never leave us entirely.

Denna's intelligence and wit were second to none. She was always the life of the party, and anyone that met her were left with a lasting impression. Her influence that empowered us will not fade, but will forever be a driving force in our lives. Her essence remains encouraging us, showing us the way and reminding us of the simple joys.

As a business women in Golden since the 1960's, Denna was an outstanding member of the community. She had an unbelievable way of connecting to everyone she met, and therefore touched so many lives. She built a successful business because of her hard work, integrity, and charisma. She generously gave to those in need and never forgot where she came from.

Denna felt so blessed to have such a loving family; we feel so blessed that we had her. She was always the dynamic force that kept our family so close. She was always there to encourage and guide, someone you could trust for good advice, or if you just needed someone to talk to in good times or bad. Not only was she a mother, a grandmother, and great-grandmother, she was our rock, our friend.

So, in the midst of sorrow, let us be happy! We have been touched by a remarkable person who has not left us, but is now an angel watching over us.

Let us be grateful for her peace and for the love and memories she has given us all. Denna Carr will live in our hearts forever.
